Invincible Youth Original G7 vs. New G7

Invincible Youth is one of my favorite variety shows. This show was what got me into KPOP. I stumbled upon this show when I was changing the channel. I knew nothing about these girls but continued watching because they were funny. That’s when I started searching to see which idol group they were part of and started following those groups. There were seven girls, Yuri, Sunny, Narsha, Hyunah, Hara, Hyomin, Sunhwa which were known as the Original G7. They all became my favorites. I found out more things about them in every episode. Sadly, as the show went on, three members had to leave because of their promotions. Yuri, Sunny, and Hyunah left but three new members were added. Sori, Victoria, and Jooyeon were now part of G7.

Fans of this show were not too happy about the new members being added, but I thought they should be given a chance before they can say anything. I knew it would be fine for Victoria and Jooyeon since they are part of a popular idol group, but I kind of thought it would be hard for Sori since she is a soloist. I continued watching the show with the new members and kind of felt bad for them. Sori barely had any air time no matter how hard she works, Jooyeon was always picked on, and Victoria was that adorable girl who always talked to plants. It was kind of awkward for the group but they slowly got closer to each other after every episode. I’m not going to lie, I miss the Original G7, but I also like the new G7. I think I’ll just consider these girls as G10. I’m looking forward to season 2.
