While I was looking around for a fun Korean drama to watch, I stumbled upon the drama called “The Woman Who Still Wants to Marry” (아직도 결혼하고 싶은 여자) starring popular Hallyu stars like Park Jin Hee, Kim Bum, and Lee Pil Mo. It is a sixteen episode mini-series that aired in the beginning of 2010. Despite starring Kim Bum, the rating was pretty low (<10%) and remained under the radar (dramawiki).

You can think of this drama as the female version of “The Man Who Can’t Get Married” which aired on KBS. The drama follows the lives of three ambitious career women in their 30s who struggle to find working romantic relationships. Lee Shin Young (Park Jin Hee) is a reporter at UTN who tries her best to get a big news break. Jung Da Jung (Uhm Ji Won) is an English interpreter who desperately wants to marry but fails to meet the right guy. Kim Boo Ki (Wang Bit Na) is a restaurant consultant who enjoys the single life after deciding work over marriage. This drama is for the woman who seeks to balance work and romance. However, I highly recommend this drama to everyone over 15!!!

I love this drama! After seeing the first episode, I was totally hooked and could not stop watching. Also, the OST is really good. I love listening to “Beautiful Girls” by Byul and “The Woman Who Cut My Guitar String” by Kim Bum. Yes, Kim Bum is a musician in the drama. If you liked him playing the saxophone in “Boys Over Flowers”, then you are in for a big treat. Here is a Youtube video I found of “The Woman Who Cut My Guitar String”:

You can find these episodes on Youtube with English subtitles!!! If you want a good laugh, then check out “The Woman Who Still Wants to Marry”!!! I promise you will not regret it. =D

i’ve heard of this drama but haven’t watched it before.
i’ll be sure to check it out
thanks

I’ve never heard of this drama before! I really need to watch it soon then if you recommend it that much. I’m still very surprised that it got <10% viewer ratings with Kimbum D:

i never watched this!!
need to watch it sometimes then :D

I actually watched this but during the middle of the drama I just lost interest, not saying it won’t for others, just didn’t really catch me.

cool, I’ll try to watch this but is it quite draggy? :(

Hey blueberrypop!

Surprisingly the drama wasn’t draggy for me. There are lots of twists with the characters and the drama is super funny. Although there are lots of characters, I didn’t feel like any of them were space fillers.

Hope that helps!

Kim Bum! Wasn’t he in Boys Before Flowers?! Well, I looked it up on DramaWiki and it sounds pretty interesting, and even if Kim Bum wasn’t in it, I’d still probably watch xD

I just have a question, why would you only recommend this for people over 15? O_o

Hey GuessHu,

Trust me it is a good drama. I only recommended it for people over 15 since one of the three main female characters date Kim Bum’s younger age character in the drama. I didn’t know how younger people would react to it.

On second thought, I now think that people ages 14 and up is more appropriate. Also, I was following MBC’s viewer rating. smile

Hope that helps!
