The Man from Nowhere

Cha Tae-sik is a man with a dark past that no one knows about. He now spends his time as an owner of a pawn shop and rarely talks to anyone except for a neighborhood girl, So-mi, that always intrude into his shop without permission. As Cha Tae-sik spends more time with her, he begins to lower his defense. Before he can open up to her, she is kidnapped and he goes on a frantic race to rescue her with the dangerous skills he obtained from his dark past.

This is one of my favorite films. I love Won Bin in this movie. Although he does not have much lines, he captures the audience with his charismatic presence. Won Bin and Kim Sae-ron make an unlikely duo that really capture the audience whenever they are together. You can really see how Won Bin, haunted by his past, is affected her presence in his life. The scene at the end where he saves her is really touching. The fight scenes look really authentic and brutal that it seems more like street brawls than choreographed fight scenes especially the main fighting scenes. This film goes at a really good pace that keeps you on the edge of your seat even though you know he will save her at the end. All in all, I really recommend this film to everyone.
